Connect Acquis to your assistant
Acquis is a standard remote MCP server — it works in any platform that supports the Model Context Protocol, not just one vendor. One URL everywhere:
https://api.acquislaw.com/mcpWhichever client you use, the sign-in screen is the same: enter an email and password — this creates your account and starts a 7-day Pro trial (no card).
Claude
- Open claude.ai → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector
- Paste the connector URL above and sign in when Claude opens the Acquis screen.
- Allow the tools when prompted (they are read-only retrieval tools).
- Connectors added on the web are available in Claude desktop and mobile too.
ChatGPT
- Custom connectors require a ChatGPT Plus or Pro plan (OpenAI's requirement, not ours).
- Open Settings → Connectors → Advanced → enable Developer mode.
- Create a connector: name
Acquis, MCP server URL above, authentication OAuth → sign in on the Acquis screen. - In a chat, enable Acquis from the composer's connectors menu and ask away.
Building on the OpenAI API instead? The Responses API runs Acquis directly: tools: [{type: "mcp", server_url: "https://api.acquislaw.com/mcp", …}].
VS Code, Cursor and every other MCP client
Any MCP client with OAuth support connects the same way — point it at the URL and complete the sign-in. VS Code example (.vscode/mcp.json):
{ "servers": { "acquis": { "type": "http", "url": "https://api.acquislaw.com/mcp" } } }The five tools
