Terms of Service

The service
Acquis provides retrieval tools over a curated corpus of EU law for use inside AI assistants via the Model Context Protocol. It returns official sources verbatim with citations. Acquis is not legal advice and does not create a lawyer–client relationship; verify provisions on EUR-Lex (every result links there) before relying on them professionally.
Accounts, trial and plans
Creating an account starts a 7-day Pro trial at no charge and with no card. When the trial ends, access pauses until you subscribe to a paid plan — Basic (€4.95/month; fast model, 30 questions/month, 200 lookups/month) or Pro (€19.95/month; reasoning model, deep analysis, 300 questions/month, 2000 lookups/month). Both cover the full corpus. Subscriptions are billed by Stripe, renew monthly and can be cancelled any time via the customer portal, effective at the end of the billing period.
Fair use
Rate limits exist to keep the service responsive for everyone. Don't attempt to circumvent them, resell access, or use the service to build a competing corpus by bulk extraction (the underlying law is public — get it from EUR-Lex, it's excellent).
Warranty and liability
The service is provided “as is”. We work hard on corpus freshness and accuracy (sources are ingested verbatim and cryptographically signed) but make no warranty of completeness, currency or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Capybara Labs’ aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms (material changes notified via the service or email) and may suspend accounts that breach them. You can delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy.
